One service only - 10:00 AM.
Families - please come in one car, if at all possible! Please help us by STARTING the parking on the soccer field.
From 8:30-9:30 we'll be serving a brunch in the gym, and have an opportunity to peruse the ministry tables that are highlighting some of our ministries, what they've done in the past, and what they're currently doing.
We'll be shutting down the brunch at 9:30 to ensure that everyone gets a seat for the worship service.
We expect a very large crowd this weekend. Come prepared to squeeze into the sanctuary.
At 9:46:29, we're going to begin showing a video our most of our missionaries from around the globe . . .
We'll start the service right at 10. Expect it to last about an hour and a half.
We're taking up a special Anniversary Offering, at the end of the service, to help retire some of the debt on the building. We will still have a time for regular tithes and offerings.
We're also showing a video highlighting the founding of the church, and how God's worked through the lives of families and individuals in the church.
AFTER the service, our Youth Ministry is doing a bar-b-q fundraiser for their St. Louis mission trip. Come and bring the family for $5/head and enjoy bar-b-q on the church grounds, in the gym, in the hallways . . . if it's nice weather, bring a blanket and sit outside!

Perspective . . .
Mars Hill - Seattle keeps a blog that I read.
Mark Driscoll puts his sermon outlines on the web every once in a while.
I loved this point:
2. Worship God Because Glory is Coming (1 Pet. 4:13)
For Christians: this life is the closest you will ever get to hell.
For unbelievers: this life is the closest you will ever get to heaven.
This life and its troubles will pale in light of eternity.

Monday morning recap for Sunday - April 26, 2009 (on Tuesday)
What a great Sunday morning of worship . . .
We opened with Cambridge's arrangement of Come Ye Sinners . . . A very appropriate musical tune for the text.
After our call to worship, we sang Filled With Your Glory (Starfield), O Worship the King (with the Tomlin chorus), Hear Us From Heaven, I Stand Amazed, and When All is Said and Done (T. Walker).
For our offering song, we introduced Face to the Ground, by Ronnie Freeman - get it on iTunes. Very congregational - i love the posture that's emphasized in the text.
Next Sunday is our 20th Anniversary Celebration. 10:00 AM. Choir is singing. IT'S NOT TOO LATE to come and participate with the choir for the weekend. We're rehearsing again this Wednesday (April 29) from 6-7 on the stage in the sanctuary.

Monday morning recap for Sunday - April 19, 2009
Hello 4 people . . .
Last Sunday we opened with Famous One by Chris Tomlin/Jesse Reeves.
After our call to worship, we sang Amazing God, which I just love, by Brenton Brown. We followed that with Beautiful One, Search Me, and When I Survey/Wonderful Cross. If you're looking for a new song - check out Search Me by Ronnie Freeman. Great song writer. The tune may be hard to find, via a recording. I know it's on the JH Ranch Praise, disc 2.
For our offering song, we introduced Center by Charlie Hall.

Easter Sunday Recap for Oak Mountain
We had a great Sunday at Oak Mountain. The thought that I've had preceding yesterday was this: What if we had the same fervor and zeal about Christ's resurrection the other 51 Sundays of the year! Facebook and Twitter were inundated with "Christ is risen!" messages, which are great - and He is - but He has been for close to 2000 years - our message shouldn't dramatically increase with Easter Sunday - it should be that exciting, that life-changing every Sunday, or thursday afternoon, or Tuesday at 9:15PM . . .
And scene.
Yesterday we opened with Let God Arise - by Chris Tomlin.
After our call to worship, we sang Arise by Paul Baloche, Christ the Lord is Risen Today, Mighty to Save, Your Name, and Prince of Peace.
Our offering song was Revelation Song.

Videos from Palm Sunday 2009
Here are the three videos that we produced for last week's Palm Sunday program. The first was played in the middle of "Because of Your Love" by Paul Baloche. The second came right after "Hungry" by Kathryn Scott and before a new version of "Man of Sorrows." The 3rd preceded "Hallelujah, We Will Sing," by Tommy Walker . . .

Even so . . . come quickly
Come Quickly, by Tommy Walker
He'll wipe our tears away when dawns that final day
All mourning death and pain will fade away
And then we all will rise and meet Him in the sky
When Jesus comes and take us all away
I'm listening for the sound
When the trumpet play's it loud
I'm watching for the clouds to roll away
'Cause this day it is my hope
It's all I'm waiting for
When Jesus comes and take us all away
Come quickly, come quickly Lord
This world is not my home don't wait anymore

Monday morning recap for Sunday - March 29, 2009 (on Wednesday)
I'm late posting this, as we have our Palm Sunday worship service this coming Sunday, and we've been busy in preparing.
This past weekend we opened up with Chris Tomlin's Let God Arise.
After our call to worship we sang Your Grace is Enough, Crown Him with Many Crowns, Here i am to Worship, Jesus Paid it all, and You Gave Your Life Away, by Paul Baloche.
If you were in the 9:00 service, you heard Hillsong's Hosanna for the offering song, as well as a new rendition of There's Room At the Cross for You.
